I.P.A. and GD music always leaves a smile no matter who's playin. All bashings and praises of rat dog are welcome.

I didn't see them for almost 10 years and hated them the first time.

Saw them with Phil & F with Keller Williams at the Rocks and Bobby played DS with Keller between ratdog and P&F, was GREAT.

They opened for the Allman's last year at the Rocks and it was a fun party.

So this year their playin a nice lil venue in Boulder two weeks from tonite.

I got a gifted tix so here I go again, my love hate relation with Bobby goes on!

GS--love your word choice (seriously) in this little post...

Well, as ducats, I have not had a good experience with RD. It was a few yrs back, but as I mumbled about here a time or two in past threads, it was the ONLY concert I ever walked out on after the first set. Really was bad IMHO.

Well Tell, to tell you you the truth, I'm going because it's a quaint little venue that allows you to bring in your own beer or wine. Also the wife grants me a hall pass and sends me off on my lonesome whenever I do anything "Dead" related. For these reasons alone, this show is a 'must see'.

Walked out after 5 sense-assaulting songs in Chicago. Ratdog is far and away the worst band I've paid money to see! (I know-I'm a dumb ass)

I think it is slang for Rat Terrier

From: http://www.i-love-dogs.com/dog-breeds/Rat-Terrier.html

Name: Named because of the way they went after rats and kept down their numbers in the White House

The Rat Terrier dog breed has been described as the opposite of the breed it closely resembles, the Jack Terrier breed. Rat Terriers are less agressive and are relatively calm, for a terrier breed. Normally they are cheerful dogs but there are cases where an occasional dog is sensitive to new environments, unexpected noises, people, or sudden activity.

Remember that breed only provides a general clue as to any individual dog's actual behavior. Make sure to get to know dogs well before bringing them into your home.
The Rat Terrier's Physical Characteristics

Here are some of the characteristics of the Rat Terrier breed as determined by the Rat Terrier Club of America's published breed standard.

* Size: small to medium terrier size
* Coat: short, dense, smooth, soft to medium hardness
* Color: hound colors, tri-colors, bi-colors, chocolate, red, orange, lemon, blue
* Eyes: set well apart, mid-size, slightly prominent, rounded to slightly almond shape, dark brown to light hazel
* Ears: V-shaped, slightly set off skull
* Muzzle: medium length, straight, tapered
* Nose: black
* Tail: tapering, set to follow line of croup

Do you have any ratdog to spare who could come overseas for cleanups any where (have your pick!) between Paris, London , Amsterdam ? you could even start a new breed in Europe with more biting skills ?

To be perfectly clear : first thing that caught my eye is explanation ratdogs handy to cleanup fat rats ,the sort of rats in Europe are as bad news as those in US of A. As for real rats in animal version, you'd flip to see huo huge they are in Paris . Never go in campgrounds or you can see them as big as dogs ,by hundreds ,heading for garbage cans . You can also see the beasts crossing rails in the subway stations .Beurk, I don't like those rats in Paris !
